How is YOUR first day of pandemic homeschooling going?

(did I actually just write those words?)

I don’t know about you, but several times a day I’m doing the usual chores around the house and have to just pause because it all feels so weird and untethered.

I decided to ease the family into this new reality.  We did Just Dance videos out on the deck this morning, then I had the oldest read while the youngest made a card for his neighbor friend that he misses (we are sending them via text to be safe).

They played some card/board games with their dad, and then Sweet Pea and I played several songs together (me on piano, her on violin).

Luckily, Sweet Pea’s teacher is one of the most amazing people I’ve met, and is posting how they’re doing things at their house, and giving us tons of resources, leeway, and encouragement. Just knowing she’s out there makes me feel better.

Anyway…I put together some schoolwork logs to help keep us on task, and also re-vamped my daily planner with reminders to move our bodies, study, and have some creative time.

If you think they’ll be useful, feel free to download below.  This packet includes:

  • schoolwork log

  • book log

  • book report worksheet

  • daily schedule w/reminders - I plan to laminate this and use a dry-erase marker on it

Take care out there all of you.

XOXO

Sara
