Hey mama - do you have some:

  • Food coloring
  • Vinegar
  • Baking soda
  • Medicine dropper
  • Little bowls, ramekins, or a muffin tin
  • Cookie sheet or tray?

Awesome.

Your littles are well on their way to making some “magic fairy dust.”

This can keep Sweetpea occupied for a good 30-60 minutes, or long enough to make dinner and snort at talking dog videos on Facebook change a diaper or two.

Here’s what you do:

  1. Put vinegar into the bowls/ramekins/muffin tin

  2. Color vinegar with the food coloring (a drop will do ya)

  3. Dump baking soda onto your cookie sheet or tray, making a layer about ½” to 1 inch thick

  4. Talk it waaaayy up to your little, being sure to drop the words “magic fairy dust” (or “fizzy unicorn potion” or “dinosaur rainbow pee”--whatever your kid won’t be able to resist)

  5. Give your birdie a medicine dropper and let her go to town

  6. Take a pic so you can get your mama cred on Instagram
